“Earlier tonight, Bayonne Police Detectives arrested a 13-year old Bayonne resident for False Public Alarms and Terroristic Threats for a SnapChat message, made on March 5th, that referenced an earlier Twitter message that threatened an attack on local schools,” Davis wrote on Facebook.

“It was determined that the SnapChat message was meant to indicate that All Saints Catholic Academy would also be included in the attack referenced in the earlier message. It is important to note that it was determined, through the detectives investigation, that there was no validity to the threat made in the SnapChat message.”

Davis further stated that evidence related to the incident was seized and the investigation is ongoing.

The Bayonne Public Schools were closed on March 5th after a Twitter user threatened to “shoot up” the facilities, with subsequent threats  made on the social media platform.

On March 6th, a 13-year-old boy was arrested for making “copycat” threats against the public schools district.
