Council President Rolando Lavarro talks MLK City Hall Annex, blasts Yun proposal

Jersey City Council President Rolando Lavarro spoke with Hudson County View about the proposed MLK City Hall Annex.

Jersey City Council President Rolando Lavarro made it clear that he was going forward with the plan put forth by the Fulop Administration, and was not interested in an alternative financing proposal being pushed by Ward D Councilman Michael Yun.

In addition, Lavarro added that the city already planned to bond for a capital improvement project and didn’t want to add more debt to the city with the proposed annex.

He also spoke about the necessity for the city to invest into Ward F, and said he had not given up on MLK drive being an area with thriving commercial businesses.
