Construction affecting Light Rail service in Bayonne, Jersey City, Hoboken, North Bergen

Construction north of the 9th Street Hudson-Bergen Light Rail station will be impacting service in Hoboken, Jersey City, Bayonne and North Bergen this weekend.

NJ Transit announced that due to construction north of the 9th Street Light Rail station – located at the Congress Street intersection – in Hoboken, the schedule will be modified today (Saturday, August 9) and tomorrow (Sunday, August 9).

For commuters traveling northbound using the 8th Street station in Bayonne, by the Avenue C intersection, trains will depart 23 minutes and 53 minutes, respectively, each hour.

Then, for commuters traveling northbound from the West Side Avenue station – near the Claremont Avenue intersection – in Jersey City, trains will depart at 22 minutes and 52 minutes, respectively, each hour.

Additionally, for commuters traveling northbound from the Tonnelle Avenue station in North Bergen, located at Tonnelle Avenue and 51st Street, trains will leave 26 minutes and 56 minutes on the hour, each hour.

Finally, commuters heading southbound from the Hoboken Terminal, at 1 Hudson Pl., will see trains leave five minutes, and 35 minutes, on the hour, each hour.
