Carmelo Garcia talks New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund fiscal crisis

1

Assemblyman Carmelo Garcia (D-33) sat down with Hudson County View at his Hoboken office to discuss the fiscal crisis the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund is facing.

Assemblyman Garcia started off by giving some background on the situation, including proposals that have been put forth to fix the transportation fund’s finances.

Garcia said he didn’t think raising the gas tax would hurt hybrid gas station-convenience stores that attract consumers to cross state lines.

Finally, Garcia talked about what was being done on the spending side to help make the transportation fund fiscally sustainable to protect taxpayers.

  1. Lets have honest people get elected and stop stealing out tax money. Than we can fix our roads and schools without more taxes. People like Garcia are in Trenton scamming us every day than tell us there is a big problem and they need more tax Money.
