CarePoint Health Chief Operating Officer Peter Daniels, other hospital representatives, and city officials, including Mayor James Davis and the five city c ouncil members, attended the ribbon cutting for the facility, which brings kidney and dialysis care closer to home for Bayonne residents.
“We welcome another investment in the health care of this community,” Daniels said. “This
exemplifies our commitment to bring a full range of services to the residents of Bayonne.”

He also said that the addition of the special unit was due to requests from the public. Care at the facility will begin in the next few weeks.

CarePoint’s three Hudson County hospitals: the Bayonne Medical Center, Hoboken University Medical Center and Christ Hospital in Jersey City, will be back in-network with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield as of October 1st.
