A bus fire on I-495 West in North Bergen is creating nightmare rush hour traffic so commuters should avoid the area if possible.

An eyewitness told Hudson County View the fire occurred shortly before 4 p.m., forcing passengers to evacuate the vehicle in the middle of the street.
Despite the scare, no one was injured by the fire. However, residual delays are expected into the foreseeable future, with NJ Transit tweeting minutes ago that 45 minute delays should still be expected if commuters have to take I-495.
