“Families across New Jersey deserve to live in safe, quality, reliable and affordable housing. This federal funding will build up our communities, boost our economy and empower our families to fulfill their potential,” Menendez said in a statement.
Overall, Hudson County netted $19,230,429 in HUD grants between Bayonne, Guttenberg, Harrison, Hoboken, Jersey City, North Bergen, and Union City. Statewide, the total amount of funding allocated is $85,066,133.
“Each and every New Jerseyan deserves a safe, affordable place to live. It is especially critical during the current public health crisis that our public housing programs have the resources they need to serve the New Jersey families that rely on them,” Booker added.
