Bayonne OEM reports 415 coronavirus cases, 20 deaths, and 90 recoveries

The Bayonne Office of Emergency Management has reported a total of 415 coronavirus cases, 20 deaths – including three over the weekend, and 90 recoveries.

“Mayor Davis has informed us that three more Bayonne residents have passed away from
Coronavirus-related illness,” the agency said in their daily COVID-19 update.

A 48-year-old female, a 63-year-old male, and an 85-year-old male are the 18th, 19th, and 20th Bayonne residents that have died due to this pandemic. Mayor Davis extends his deepest sympathies, on behalf of all of Bayonne, to the families of the deceased residents.”

On Twitter, Davis reacted to the fatalities by calling Monday “another heart-wrenching day.

Bayonne OEM continued that approximately 90 residents have fully recovered, up about 20 from Saturday – the same number of positive cases confirmed in the past 48 hours or so.

This afternoon, the New Jersey Department Health indicated that there are 7,789 COVID-19 cases in Hudson County, the second most in the state by county, along with 236 deaths.

However, the Hudson County government is reporting a considerably higher number of deaths: 313.
