Bayonne man, 38, charged with committing sex crimes on 4 girls, authorities say

A 38-year-old Bayonne man has been charged with committing sex crimes on four girls between 2017 and 2024, authorities say.

Anthony Lashley, 38, of Bayonne, is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault, a separate charge of sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault, three counts of criminal sexual contact, and five counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

The crimes occurred on multiple occasions between 2017 and 2024 in Jersey City and Bayonne when all four victims were under the age of 18. Lashley was first arrested on charges involving two of the victims on February 22nd of this year.

During the investigation, an additional two victims were identified. Lashley was charged in those matters on April 9th. He remains in custody at the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

This matter is still being actively investigated by the HCPO SVU.
