Bayonne University Hospital and the Bayonne Office of aging hosted the first “Lunch and Learn” senior healthcare event where more than 100 people attended.

“We are proud to partner with the City of Bayonne to bring important healthcare education and resources directly to our local community,” Bayonne University Hospital Chief Hospital Executive Dr. Vijay Singh said in a statement.
“This is the first of several upcoming lunches where we will help our residents connect with our expert physicians, and access high-quality care right here in Bayonne.”
The educational lunch featured physicians from Hudson Regional Health specializing in rheumatology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and gastroenterology.
They also highlighted information on the wide range of senior services available through the hospital and office of aging.
The Lunch and Learn series will continue to educate seniors on a variety of health topics, provide opportunities to speak directly with a diverse group of primary care and specialty physicians, and connect residents with local healthcare and community resources.
Through this partnership, Bayonne University Hospital and the City of Bayonne are reestablishing the connection between the hospital and the community, seeking to restore trust in the local healthcare system and promote preventative health.
