The fire broke out at the Columbia Container Services, located at 42B Military Ocean Terminal, around 2:30 a.m. and was deemed under control around 5 a.m., officials said.

“These well managed facilities lessen port congestion, create faster equipment turn-around times, and increase port productivity by removing non-essential equipment from the terminal,” their website says.

The Bayonne Office of Emergency Management posted about the incident on their Facebook page at 3:21 a.m. this morning.

The Jersey City Fire Department, as well as North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue, responded to the scene as well.
