“After meeting with both major candidates, reviewing their records and conducting interviews through our screening committee, we came to the conclusion that Mayor Davis and his team are the best choice to continue moving our city forward,” said BEA President Gene Woods.

“Mayor Davis’ leadership has been critical to revitalization of Bayonne and our members will be working to ensure that he is re-elected on May 10th.”

The teachers union represents about 1,000 different educational professionals in the Peninsula City’s public schools.

Team Davis also recently scored the endorsement of the Hotel and Gaming Trades Council and will be announcing additional supporters including labor organizations, community groups, and elected officials over the coming weeks.

“Bayonne teachers go above and beyond every day for our children and our community, so I’m incredibly proud to have the endorsement of the Bayonne Education Association,” Davis added.

“I would like to thank Gene Woods, the members of the screening committee and every single member of the BEA and their families for their support.”
