The Hoboken public safety meeting that was postponed last week due to the sudden passing of Council President Jen Giattino has been rescheduled for Monday evening.

“The City of Hoboken, the Hoboken Public Safety Department, and Hoboken Police Department announce the special public safety community meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, Nov. 18 at 5:30 p.m.,” the city wrote in a Nixle alert.
The community meeting will take place at the council chambers of City Hall, 94 Washington St., with patrons asked to enter the building at the Newark Street entrance.
Hoboken Public Safety Director Ken Ferrante, Hoboken Police Chief Steven Aguiar, and Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla will lead the session, which was called in light of a violet man being arrested at Church Square Park on Halloween, as HCV first reported.
In broad daylight, Troy Timberlake, 31, of Hoboken, was arrested for spitting on a woman before knocking her out, as well as punching another victim after screaming and acting aggressively with children present.
A GoFundMe page was started for the female victim of the incident, raising over $10,000 in less than 24 hours and is just shy of $17,000 as of this writing.
The public safety meeting will stream live on the city’s YouTube page for those who are unable to attend in person.
Furthermore, due to the League of Municipalities in Atlantic City next week, the Hoboken City Council is scheduled to convene on Monday evening at 7 p.m.
