“Craig is an outstanding candidate and a dedicated public servant. I am glad to be able to wholeheartedly endorse his campaign for Hudson County Executive,” Hodes said in a statement.

“Craig has already done so much important work for Hudson County during his time in government, and I’m excited to continue partnering with him to stand up for the residents of Hoboken and the entire Hudson County community. I am looking forward to seeing him work with Mayor Bhalla and Commissioner Romano to get things done.”

She also indicated that she supports the Hudson County Democratic Organization’s picks in LD-32, which also includes attorney and Jersey City Planning Board Commissioner Jessica Ramirez.

“It’s an honor to be endorsed by Chairwoman Hodes. We have worked closely to serve Hoboken residents, and I am excited to continue collaborating with the Hoboken Democrats to improve public safety, housing, and quality of life here in Hudson County,” noted Guy.

“Chairwoman Hodes has done so much for Hoboken, and I’m thrilled to receive her endorsement. I’m running for County Commissioner to stand up for our community, and look forward to working with her, Craig, and the rest of the HCDO ticket,” added Romano.

Guy already has the endorsement of the likes of U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker (both D-NJ), Gov. Phil Murphy (D), state Senate President Nick Scutari (D-22), and Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin (D-19).

He faces a progressive challenger in Eleana Little on June 6th, while Romano has a rematch from 2020 with Ron Bautista.

Meanwhile, the LD-32 candidates are all running unopposed.

  1. Yeah Yeah Yeah… nothing a job or two won’t do to convince Bhalla Bots from turning on their pal Ron Bautista.
After Emily’s DA group endorsed Bautista, Rachel must have been given a talking to by hubby’s boss Bhalla

Rachel, understand this, once Jason got his training wheels to be B.A., he is owned and so are you.
Unless of course Ravi threatens to take Jason’s training pants off and hire a different B.A.?

    • You can’t support the commie and HudCo at the same time. You have to pick one.
Is there a press release Allen became a Hispanic female? Waiting for that press release.

      • It’s disgusting to see how Jessica Ramírez is being completely dismissed on this ticket as representing the Hispanic community. She’s done amazing work and is a valuable asset to this diverse ticket.

        • Isn’t she just running cover since Bhalla iced Annette for his Fixer Allen. If Trump and Cohen taught us anything , fixers belong in jail and not public office.

          • Look at the ticket. It’s the same make up it’s always been but this time we have a diverse candidate on the top of the ticket.

Also, before you pass judgment, take a look at Annette’s legislative record then maybe you’ll understand why it was time for a change.

        • I dont feel bad for Annette she sld out, but now that she did, it’s funny that Bhalla was fine with booting her for his white bro buddy John Allen

          • Hoboken rejected John Allen when was on the ballot before. Then he was handed a big salary by Bhalla and vanished behind close door to do what?
Hudson County insider politics has always been sketchy.

  2. This was the person who was shilling for the BOE bond when 66% of democrats opposed it. I guess being married to the BA is the only qualification you need, allowing the Republican Party to organize in Hoboken really shows just how capable a leader Rachel is.

  3. Does this endorsement surprise anyone?
The machine takes care of the machine and Rachel and her husband are well greased cogs in that machine..

  4. I may be wrong and I don’t see it in the story but isn’t she married to the City Hall business administrator making a TON of her household income dependent on keeping Bhalla and political friends in office? I feel like that should be high up as many don’t know that she may have a fiscal interest in this. The average person won’t know and could get hollared at for mentioning it, the local press does a good job but I would add that in. Or am I wrong? It’s just a fact, it’s not like they’re distantly related right?

  5. Cant wait to see John Allen answer why his wife got shares in a bar without monetary payment ( rumor is she didn’t have to pay money for her shares ) Not that there’s a conflict when her husband’s was a city attorney and his law firm repped
