“We are very proud to partner with Felician University and provide our students with this opportunity,” HCCC President Dr. Christopher Reber said in a statement.

“Felician University’s School of Business and Information Sciences integrates their academic programs with the corporate world, developing leadership, real-world problem solving, teamwork, and ethical decision-making skills that are all essential to success in business.”

Under the terms of the agreement, HCCC students enrolled in the College’s Associate of Science in Business Administration or Accounting degree programs, who maintain a 2.0 or higher grade point average (GPA), will be guaranteed seamless articulation of credits for their associate degrees when transferring to complete a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree or Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree at Felician University.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that overall employment in business and financial sectors will grow by 7% between now and 2031, with new job growth and opportunities arising from workers leaving their occupations permanently.

The median wage for this group – which includes Accountants, Auditors, Budget and Financial Analysts, Cost Estimators, Financial Examiners, and many others – is approximately $76,570. These positions are considered to be recession resistant.

The agreement was formally signed by HCCC President Dr. Christopher Reber, and Felician University Acting President Dr. Mildred Mihlon, in the HCCC Gabert Library on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

Among those in attendance from HCCC were Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Darryl Jones; Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Lisa Dougherty; Dean of Academic Affairs and Assessment, Dr. Heather DeVries; Dean of Business, Culinary Arts, and Hospitality Management, Dr. Ara Karakashian; Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Dr. Yeurys Pujols; Director of Transfer Pathways, Jennifer Valcarel; and Dean of Student Success, Dr. Bernadette So.

Dr. Mihlon was accompanied by Felician Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Michael Markowitz; Dean of Business and Information Sciences, Dr. Marilu Marcillo; Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing, Priscilla Klymeno, among many others.
