Keshawn Gregory, 19, of Jersey City, has been charged with unlawful possession of a handgun, according to Det. Lt. Jonathan Mecka.

At approximately 1:20 p.m. on Thursday, September 7th, Police Officer Frank Francolino was advised of a possible handgun located at 301 Jackson St.

While looking into the matter, Francolino located the weapon (Taurus model G25 9MM) which appeared to be discarded. At this time, no one was in the immediate area and officers on scene were unable to connect a person to the weapon.
