A four-alarm fire on Olean Avenue in Jersey City displaced 17 people from three neighboring buildings this morning, with first responders still on the scene.

This morning at approximately 10:07 a.m, the Jersey City Fire Department responded to a call for a working fire on Olean Avenue, according to city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione.
The four-alarm fire spread to 195 and 199 Olean Ave. after initially breaking out at 197 Olean Ave. The American Red Cross has been called to assist 17 displaced residents from a total of 6 units within the three buildings involved.
No injuries have been reported and the Jersey City FD is still actively working on the blaze 197 Olean Ave., Wallace-Scalcione added.
Additionally, police officers and firefighters rescued several cats from the scene, with North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue responding as back up.
