A Union City woman was busted with over 25 grams of cocaine and fentanyl pills after authorities executed a search warrant on her home yesterday.

Angela Santana, 35, of Union City, is charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to distribute, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, hindering apprehension, and tampering with physical evidence, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.

Santana was arrested at her residence and released pending her first court appearance, which is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, April 25th.

During the morning hours of Tuesday, April 4th, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force executed a court authorized search warrant at Santana’s residence on 25th Street.

Upon making entry into the apartment, Santana was found discarding suspected cocaine down a bathtub drain. Investigators still seized over 25 grams of cocaine, over a dozen fentanyl pills, and drug paraphernalia.

Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force with the investigation and arrest.
