Jersey City Ward E Councilman James Solomon and former Board of Education President Mussab Ali are both saying that New York Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani’s (D-36) upset victory over former Gov. Andrew Cuomo is bad news for Jim McGreevey in Jersey City.

“There are many differences between New York City and Jersey City but one thing is very clear: voters are rejecting scandal ridden elected officials that resigned in disgrace and are attempting vanity comebacks – and Jim McGreevey is going to be next,” Solomon said in a statement.

In a thread on X, he added that McGreevey, a former New Jersey governor, who like Cuomo, resigned in the midst of scandal, donated $500 to his New York counterpart on March 3rd.

Across the Hudson River, Mamdani was viewed as a serious contender, but was still widely seen as a long shot to topple Cuomo, who had sky high name ID and seemingly limitless money – that is until an Emerson Poll released Monday showed the 33-year-old winning.

The poll appears to have been onto something, with preliminary tallies showing Mamdani up on Cuomo 44 percent to 36 percent, according to The Associated Press.

While NYC utilizes a ranked-choice voting system, Cuomo has already conceded and it remains to be seen if he’ll try again as an independent in the fall.

Incumbent Eric Adams is seeking re-election as an independent, while Curtis Sliwa is the Republican nominee.

Ali, who canvassed for Mamdani on Election Day, shared Solomon’s sentiment that last night’s results shows that McGreevey is in trouble in the non-partisan November 4th Jersey City mayoral race.

“Zohran Mamdani’s election just redefined what’s possible in politics. I was proud to support his campaign and his bold vision for New York City. His opponent, Andrew Cuomo, represented the politics of the past — and even now, our opponent, disgraced former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey, is one of Cuomo’s donors,” he said this morning.

“The contrast couldn’t be clearer. New Yorkers made it clear they’re done with scandal-plagued politicians trying to claw their way back. Now it’s Jersey City’s turn to do the same.”

McGreevey did not immediately return an email seeking comment on Wednesday morning.

There are three other declared candidates for Jersey City mayor: Hudson County Commissioner Bill O’Dea (D-2), Council President Joyce Watterman, and Police Officer Christina Freeman.

  1. The fake “peace, land, bread” lies sold by Zohran was bought by indoctrinated youth but real working people did not bite. NYC also encouraged (and attempted) to give non-citizens the ability to vote in its local elections. A court rejected it.

Zohran with his Hamas ties and fake solutions was sold on TikTok and it’s the college “educated” youth who buy into it. They can’t afford to buy a place in NYC but think the socialist bromides will fix the issue. They are so dumb and detached, they don’t know that Marxist solutions will only create a bigger divide. They will get to take a bus to nowhere as the powers in the NYC Politburo mock their gullibility.

Jersey City is comparable but may not be so gullible to believe the ready lies being sold.

      • McGreevey isn’t my candidate. He’s another retread that shouldn’t even be on the Jersey City ballot. Read a little and learn real history like the alliance of leftists and islamic fundamentalists in 1979 Iran. Rinse, repeat. Boy are you stupid.

      • They’re not terrified, Buggy. They’re laughing at the commies in LA who put in the little Fidelista Karen (32% approval) who is a laughing stock and in Chicago where they got rid of Beetle Juice and went more Marxist with a worse person as mayor. (6% approval)

No one thought that was even possible! Now, here’s a Third World anti-Semite communist who is selling a bunch of lies to the dumb white leftists.

It’s not the Hispanic and Black voters who are behind Zohran the Commie. All NYC people of good sense are joining them getting behind NYC Mayor Eric Adams for re-election.

Stop being racist, Bugginout, and join us in supporting Eric Adams.
