FBI agents paid a visit to 55th Street in West New York today, though details of the law enforcement action remain scarce at this time.

Eyewitnesses, who spoke under the conditions of anonymity, indicated that upwards of two dozen FBI agents were on the scene, at times going in and out of a two-unit building at 5500 55th St., which used to host the Variety Deli on the ground floor.
Luggage bags and plastic rubbermaid totes were seen being taken out of the building, the eyewitnesses noted, but no other details were immediately available.
The property owner could not be reached on Monday (a number for the former deli was disconnected) and the FBI press office did not return an email seeking comment.
