“Following a citizen’s tip regarding her possible location, Jersey City Police Department Detectives responded to an address within the Salem-Lafayette apartment complex at approximately 1:00 p.m. today, where they safely located Divine Anyanwu in good health,” city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said in a statement.

“Her parents were immediately notified and responded. As a precaution, EMTs were also dispatched to provide a medical evaluation. The investigation remains ongoing.”

Mayor Steven Fulop and Public Safety Director James Shea thanked the Jersey CityPD’s Missing Person Unit and all partnering agencies at the state and county level, including the New Jersey State Police and the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, for their efforts.

Anyanwu was reported missing on Saturday without many details, though NBC New York said this morning that she was walking in the direction of the Newport Parkway with an unknown man on Thursday and was not seen since.
