“Dorinne [Auriemma] and her family unfortunately lost everything due to a fire in the apartment above. Most of their possessions have been destroyed due to water damage. Thankfully everyone is safe and unharmed,” a GoFundMe page started by Kevin Livermore says.

“However it would be awesome if people rally around to provide a little help for someone who does so much for her community and friends! A few bucks can really help Dorinne and her family get back on their feet quickly.”

In just 13 hours, the page is already in striking distance of their $2,500 goal, raising $2,315.

Auriemma, a Town Hall employee and the president of the Women of West New York non-profit group, expressed gratitude for all the support.

In a Facebook post early this morning, Auriemma, a Town Hall employee and the president of the Women of West New York non-profit group, expressed gratitude for all the support.

“Carmen and I would like to thank all of you for your heartfelt wishes. We are ok. We are thankful the fire was contained to only the apt above us due to a rapid response from the NHRF Dept💜. A big ty to the WNY Police for all their assistance to us and the other tenants💙💙💙,” she wrote.

Auriemma and her family are currently staying at a hotel in Secaucus.
