“Local 108 and its members are proud to support Rob Menendez in his re-election campaign. We’ll be out there during the campaign, knocking on doors, canvassing, and working the phones to ensure that this friend of working people continues to represent New Jersey in the House of Representatives,” Local 108 President Charles Hall, Jr. said in a statement.

“Rob’s record speaks for itself; he introduced the Working Families Task Force Act, which would establish a federal task force to raise standards for America’s workers, and is an original co-sponsor of the PRO Act, which would balance the playing field and make it easier for workers to organize into unions without employer interference. He’s a proud supporter of unions, union rights, and working families, and we are proud to support him for re-election.”

RWDSU represents 100,000 members throughout the United States, including 10,000 in New Jersey. The RWDSU is affiliated with the United Food and Commercial Workers Union (UFCW).

“I am proud to be endorsed by the hard-working members of RWDSU Local 108 and I will always serve our communities as a pro-union champion. In Washington, we work tirelessly to uplift our residents by creating comprehensive legislation – such as the Working Families Task Force Act and the Parental Workforce Training Act – that tackle top priorities like affordability, housing, childcare, and much more,” Menendez added.

“I strongly support the right to organize and look forward to continuing to work hand-in-hand with our incredible union partners like RWDSU Local 108 in our fight for fair wages, better workplace conditions, and a secure pathway to the American dream for all.”

The primary is on June 4th, where Menendez is seeking to best two other Democrats in the contest: Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla and first time candidate Kyle Jasey.
