A 76-year-old Union City man has been charged with possessing child sex abuse material after a months-long investigation by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Carlos Manzini, 76, of Union City, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child/possession of child sex abuse material, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a statement.
He was arrested at a residence on 33rd Street in Union City without incident and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.
On March 20th, 2024, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip that child sex abuse material was being uploaded from an electronic device.
During the course of the investigation, Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office detectives discovered hundreds of child sex abuse materials on Manzini’s computer.
Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Special Victims Unit, Cyber Crimes Unit and Union City Police Department with the investigation and arrest.
