Prosecutor: Port Authority cop charged with falsifying medical records she submitted to employer

A Port Authority police officer has been charged with falsifying medical records she submitted to her employer, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

Marie Paz, 43, is charged with two counts of forgery, fourth-degree crimes. She was arrested without incident at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City and released on a summons.

Paz is scheduled to make her first court appearance on Friday, May 13th.

The investigation revealed Paz submitted falsified medical records to her employer to receive additional paid medical leave.

Suarez credited the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Public Integrity Unit and the Office of Inspector General Port Authority of New York and New Jersey with the arrest and investigation.
