Authorities were first notified of the offenses on Tuesday, January 18th and the HCPO Special Victims Unit immediately opened its investigation, Suarez said in a statement.

The 17-year-old has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact. He was taken into custody at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Jersey City yesterday and released to a legal guardian pending his first court appearance.

Suarez credited the Special Victims Unit with the investigation. Anyone wishing to report a sex crime should call the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU) at 201-915-1234.
