On Wednesday, June 8th, in an ongoing effort to combat vice related crimes within town, the Secaucus Police Department Anti-Crime Unit arrested three people, Miller said in a statement.

At approximately 9:27 p.m., the police arrested Deisy Roman, 33, of Flushing, NY for prostitution, along with Juan Alvarado, 30, of the Bronx, NY for promoting prostitution.

Both parties were served their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

Then, at about 10:15 p.m., the police arrested Merlin Herrera Saldivar, 32, of New York, NY for prostitution. She was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

Miller has said previously that crackdowns on prostitution are part of “ongoing efforts to address this problem activity and the underlying crimes that come along with prostitution,” and since investigations are ongoing, no further information will be released at this time.
