Police: Jersey City woman caught with stun gun in Bayonne after attempting to steal packages

A Jersey City woman was caught with a stun gun in Bayonne yesterday after she attempted to steal packages from a residence on West 31st Street, police said.

Rose Doria, 53, of Jersey City, was charged with attempted theft and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (stun gun), according to Police Capt. Eric Amato.

Doria was taken into custody at around 11:40 am. from the area of 33rd Street and Broadway after being identified as the actor who attempted to steal packages from a residence located on West 31st Street just minutes prior.

The on-scene investigation led to Doria being positively identified as the actor and the search incident to her arrest led to the recovery of a stun gun, authorities said.
