Raul Brigantti, 39, of Bayonne, was charged with robbery, according to Police Capt. Joseph Scerbo

Back on December 5th, 2014 at about 3:05 p.m., an unknown man walked into the Chase Bank located at 650 Broadway, authorities said.

The man gave a note to the bank teller advising her this was a robbery and if she “gave him all the money in the drawer nobody will get hurt.” As a result, the teller handed over approximately $5,475 in cash and the robber exited the bank, police said.

In late July, Bayonne police detectives received new information about the bank robbery and on Thursday, around 11:36 p.m., Brigantti was arrested at his residence, without incident, and charged for the 2014 crime, officials said.
