In an editorial, Hudson County Republican Party Vice Chair for Communication Joshua Sotomayor Einstein explains why he thinks local elected leaders need to take a stand on anti-Semitism.
As antisemitism grows in Hudson County and across America, elected officials have fanned the flames and made municipal governments a target.
The nationally syndicated shit shows that are council meetings disrupted by a coalition of traveling out of towners, local loons, and foreign born extremist Mahmoud Khalil types (who call for the “total eradication of Western civilization”) are the direct responsibility of local politicians who have pimped out municipal flag poles and resolutions.
Foreign and special interest group flags have been raised and resolutions voted on by municipalities to make local politicians appear as if they are doing something when by definition they cannot do anything on foreign, state, and federal policy.
Virtue signaling politicians did not create the growing movement of totalitarian extremists who disgracefully chant for the extermination of the Jews.
But the constant mugging for pictures, by elected officials, with every special interest group rather than addressing municipal problems has made council meetings fair game for this genre of genocidal extremist.
The most recent example is of a man who disrupted a Jersey City Council meeting by threatening the council with the statement that he will “make your lives absolutely 100 percent the most miserable as possible. By any means necessary…” if the JC Council doesn’t bend to his extremist pro-Hamas agenda.
It is high time local elected officials take a stand. This is not a call for them to take a stand with Israel.
Israel is a multi-ethnic and multi-party democracy with free speech, freedom of religion, a vibrant free press, and a peoples army that can defend itself against the Hamas terrorists who attempted to ethnically cleanse border communities on October 7, 2023.
It is a call for local political leaders to stop indulging any and every special interest group demanding their flag be flown or a resolution be passed in their support.
It is a call that city councils everywhere make it known that they will no longer be engaged in virtue signaling politics and that they will get to work on the actual business of running local government.

Hoboken City Council loves its virtue-signaling resolutions in recent years especially against the Second Amendment. Little Emily prides herself as being part of this “mommies against the Second Amendment” group and she would be offended if you push this anti-Semitism / Western civilization proposal.

The 2nd Ammendment refers ONLY to the rights of members of ‘well regulated militias’ who defend US to keep and bear arms.
Get your twisted other definitions straight, as well. At least one Woke Marxist I know of, Groucho, stood up to a pool that wouldn’t let his daughter swim there because she was Jewish. He corrected this anti-woke ( and severely prejudiced group) that his daughter was half-Jewish and therefore would utilize the pool up to her waist.
You enumerate a failure in your reading of the Second Amendment. That misguided argument died years ago. The tyranny of government will not be resurrected under any such reading.
The right to bear arms is an individual right of the citizen, clearly delineated in “Heller” and further emphasized in succeeding Supreme Court decisions.

While I must concede that the wording of this Ammendment appears to be willfully vague, there can be no doubt that there is only a collective right of PEOPLE in a WELL REGULATED MILITIA to “KEEP AND BEAR ARMS” When you invoke “the Tyranny of Government” you are trying to have it both ways. While Militias of the Crown in our 13 colonies did rise up on more than one occasion to fight the Tyranny of King George III, our lawmakers who created the 2nd Amendment did NOT authorize the creation of ANY militia to fight the “tyranny of (our) government. The Well Regulated Militia was authorized and created by Congress for our National Defense. MANY State Militias fought to save our Union in the Civil War, WWI and World War II.
If you wish to concede, at least make an effort to delve into the law. There’s no lack of related Supreme Court decisions since “Heller.”
There is a distinction legally between federal, state and individual rights under related Second Amendment Supreme Court decisions. Old arguments rekindled as valid are immaterial in any serious discussion today.
The tyranny of the State versus the Bill of Rights is more valid today than ever. As Thomas Jefferson said, “I have sworn upon the altar of God Eternal, hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.”
Jefferson didn’t need to see the COVID tyranny with anti-American, illegal, mandated mRNA injections on the citizenry as but one spectacular example of a war on the American mind.

Ok, let’s talk about Heller. Heller was the first to address whether the 2nd Amendment confers INDIVIDUAL rights to own, keep, or carry firearms. The high court had never addressed the issue of whether individuals are, or should be conferred rights under the 2nd Ammendment.
Strict Constructionist Associate Justice Scalia absolutely twisted what the original framers of this Amendment were conferring as a right, which was a collective right in a well regulated militia, not “happiness is a warm gun” type like yourself. The ruling was 5-4. This high court ruling for the first time incorrectly conferred an individual right to own a firearm. This Court consisted of SEVEN Justices appointed by Republican Presidents: Scalia (Reagan) Kennedy (Reagan); Stevens (Ford); Souter (George H.W. Bush); Thomas (George H. W. Bush); Alito (George W. Bush); and Roberts (George W. Bush.), and TWO Justices appointed by a Democratic President: Breyer (Clinton; and Ginsburg (Clinton.) The two judges appointed by Clinton were joined by Souter and Stevens. In Steven’s writing for the Minority he rebuked the Majority for granting an individual access to gun ownership for protection which the 2nd Amendment does not allow.

It is wonderful that a courageous group of honest Jews fully understood and supported the Government of Hoboken courageously displaying the very beleaguered Palestinian flag. NO ONE disputes that Israel has the right and responsibility to defend itself from the horrible attacks by Hamas on October 7. It is the way and scope to which Israel retaliated that is very troubling. The ends do not justify the means.
