Raymond Gorczycki, 50, of Newark, was charged with burglary, two counts of theft, criminal mischief, and a parole violation, Dundas said in a statement.

He was arrested yesterday at approximately 6:50 a.m. in the area of 25th Street and Avenue C by Bayonne police detectives.

Through investigation, the Bayonne Police Department Detective Bureau identified Gorczycki as the man who stole cash from three collection boxes at St. John Paul II Parish (the former Mt. Carmel) on July 23rd.

On this date, he damaged the boxes in order to gain entry and remove the cash, which was somewhere between $200 and $300.

Gorczycki was also identified as the man in a burglary and theft from a motor vehicle in the area of Lexington Avenue on August 3rd, which he was also charged for, as well as being found to be in violation of the terms of his State Parole.
