The New Jersey League of Conservation Voters are supporting Assemblywoman Barbara McCann Stamato in the 31st Legislative District, as well Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla and Assemblywoman Jessica Ramirez, a split ticket in a crowded 32nd Legislative District field.

“New Jersey LCV is proud to endorse our largest ever slate of candidates in legislative primaries, because the stakes for our environment and democracy have never been higher,” New Jersey LCV Deputy Director Allison McLeod said in a statement.
“As we face unprecedented rollbacks in environmental protections at the federal level, it’s critical New Jersey has bold champions here at home who will fight for clean energy, environmental justice, and our democratic institutions. Codifying 100% clean energy by 2035, mitigating climate change, and protecting the right to vote are all on the ballot.”
McCann Stamato is running alongside Bayonne 2nd Ward Councilwoman Jackie Weimmer on Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop’s gubernatorial ticket, facing off with Assemblyman Will Sampson and Hudson County Commissioner Jerry Walker (D-3).
Sampson and Walker are running on a slate endorsed by the Hudson County Democratic Organization (HCDO).
“I’m honored to earn the endorsement of the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters. Protecting our environment isn’t just about today—it’s about ensuring future generations can thrive,” McCann Stamato said.
“I’ll continue to fight for sustainable infrastructure, clean air and water, and smart transit solutions that put our communities first.”
In LD-32, Bhalla is running alongside Jersey City activist Katie Brennan, while Ramirez is a also on Fulop’s “Democrats for Change” slate with Jersey City Ward D Councilman Yousef Saleh.
In that district, the HCDO is backing Hoboken Public Library Director Jennie Pu and Jersey City Director of Buildings and Street Maintenance Crystal Fonseca.
“The first bill I ever passed allocated resources to ensure clean drinking water for all New Jerseyans. I am incredibly proud to have the support of the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, as this endorsement reflects our shared values. Green legislation is non-negotiable, and I will always be a partner in this fight,” noted Ramirez.
“The New Jersey League of Conservation Voters endorsement is the gold standard for environmental records and actions. I am thrilled that the organization recognized my record as mayor, making Hoboken a national leader in climate action and upgrading and expanding our parks and open space. In the Assembly, I pledge to be a leader on protecting the environment,” stated Bhalla.
The primary elections for all New Jersey Assembly seats are on June 10th.

Jessica Ramirez was more than happy to take the HCDO’s money and support when it was convenient for her. She’s a spineless corporate shill like all the other HCDO candidates.
Wait it was Mayor Dawn Zimmer who originated all the flood mitigation, open space etc in Hoboken that Ravi Bhalla is trying to take credit for now.
Oh look, Ravi is already cutting deals for himself while throwing Katie Brennan under the bus. Poor Katie, she’s going to learn the Democrat Soprano State hard way.
