Yesterday at approximately 2 p.m., Jersey City police officers observed a black BMW traveling eastbound on Montgomery Avenue at a high rate of speed, city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione told HCV.

“Oh my God! Oh my God! Look at this s***!,” Facebook user Sasha Noneyabiz says in a video posted on her page in the immediate aftermath of the incident yesterday.

Hubcaps, bumpers, tail lights and other debris from cars that had been struck by another vehicle had been sustained major damage, some of which likely totaled.

At the end of the line of wreckage, a black car that had taken out a fire hydrant along with a silver vehicle with a New York license plate, had lost its front right tire and smoke was emanating from the hood of the vehicle.

The BMW sideswiped five parked cars before crashing into another parked vehicle outside of 762 Montgomery Ave. The driver, Joseph Siocha, 21, refused medical attention.

He was arrested and charged with assault by auto (driving while intoxicated with injuries) and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, Wallace-Scalcione said.
