The event will take place on Tuesday, August 6th from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the student center of Saint Peter’s University, located at 47 Glenwood Ave. in Jersey City. To register, click here or call 201-386-0699.

McIver is a lifelong resident of Newark, where she served as the council president, and a dedicated public servant focused on delivering results for working families, small businesses, and underserved communities.

She currently sits on key House committees that support infrastructure, education, and community development.

This event is part of the Hudson County Chamber’s Employer Legislative Committee (ELC) series, which provides members with direct access to policymakers and elected officials.

ELC meetings are designed to foster dialogue on public policy and its impact on the business community.

McIver’s national profile has skyrocketed since the U.S. Attorney’s Office indicted her for allegedly assaulting, resisting, and impeding immigration officers during a visit to Delaney Hall in Newark in mayor.

Mayor Ras Baraka had been arrested at the same event, but the trespassing charged was dropped after a federal judge lambasted the way Interim New Jersey U.S. Attorney Alina Habba’s office handled the situation.

Since then, McIver posted her largest fundraising quarter to date by a wide margin, raking in $751,704 between April 1st and June 30th of this year, a report filed with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) yesterday shows.
