Shortly before 9 p.m. on December 17th, Jersey City police responded to an emergency call of a man injured, according to city spokesman Stan Eason.
They found a 40-year-old city resident who had been stabbed multiple times in his arm, shoulder and once in his side, sitting on a South Street stoop in the rain.
Police applied first aid to stop the bleeding until EMT’s responded and took over treatment.
The victim, who was treated for non-life threatening injuries at the Jersey City Medical Center, refused to cooperate with police regarding the identity of his attacker nor a reason for the assault, Eason added.
