In a letter to the editor, 32nd Legislative District Republican nominee for state Assembly Stephen Bishop says he “would be the most dedicated member” if elected.

Hello fellow District 32 residents,
My name is Stephen Bishop and I am long-time Hoboken resident who is kindly asking for your vote this November to become Hoboken/JC’s most dedicated representative in the State of New Jersey’s General Assembly, District 32.
My vision is that Hoboken and Jersey City will become the #1 place in New Jersey to raise children & family. I will build on our district’s current strengths, and turbo-charge an emphasis on developing healthy, happy & successful children in our community.
Our community has historically been transient, but today we are seeing many families put down roots and raise families in LD32. We need to build on this new direction by ensuring Trenton supports us with the resources and funds our district deserves.
I am a dad, a coach, an umpire, a referee. I have witnessed the awesome capabilities of our children, and the positive impact we can have on their lifetime.
We need a strong education system, “best in class” athletic facilities, and youth services & amenities that will amaze parents.
The children are our future. I will be our youngest generation’s biggest advocate, their biggest cheerleader, their loudest voice.
We need to ensure that our children get the wonderful childhood experience they deserve, and then still afford to stay in the state they grew up in.
If you want modern, “state of the art” athletic facilities; better, nutritious food for your children at lunch-time, safe streets & parks, innovative programs for children addressing social & life-skills, mental health, low-impact exercise, & any & all healthy activities that will reduce screen time; then please remember my name when you vote for NJ General Assembly in November.

This reads much different than Steve’s last letter to the editor where he was praising Trump and saying he wants Jack to create a DOGE for New Jersey. How is Steve going to fund all these pro-child policies if he’s working with Jack to cut funding for all of them?
Also weird timing for any Republican to be talking this much about kids while they try to cover up Trump being in the Epstein files.
This comes off as some Qanon level insanity. What funding is Jack even cutting? Dems have been in control of Trenton for 8 years, and our schools and colleges have been facing cuts every year. I guess the concept of being a parent must be lost on you.
Go back under your rock until you can make sense. Bishop is hardly a fraud or an extremist but it sure sounds like you are.
Steve Bishop is in his high school sports hall of Fame and was an outstanding scholar who has a degree from Penn’s Wharton School. He’s a devoted husband and father who has his community’s best interest as his passion. This is the kind of person you want on your team….good listener and fighter for what’s right. Steve is a high character guy who would represent his constituents well.
