Currently operating out of 3000 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 306, in Jersey City, the LGBTQ+ advocacy group is in the midst of a build out and design phase at 4428-30 Bergenline Ave. in Union City, Schedl told HCV.

“Hudson Pride provides support and social services to LGBTQ+ individuals all throughout Hudson County, and well beyond. It has always been a long term goal to open a second location that northern Hudson residents can access more easily,” she explained.

“We want to ensure we are reaching all of our LGBTQ+ community members. We will be offering all the current services we have at our Jersey City Office and are looking to expand into new services for the LGBTQ+ community. Having this second location, which is a ground floor store front, in one of the highest foot traffic areas is going to make such a big difference not just in our visibility but in our connection to our community.”

She continued that the organization is “both proud and excited” to open a location in North Hudson, which will be open from Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. She did not put a date or timeline on when the new location will open.

The group has been in operations in some capacity since 1993 and cut the ribbon on their aforementioned Jersey City space in December 2022.
