The Hudson County Republican party is welcoming outgoing Sheriff Frank Schillari to the team after he left the Democratic party on Tuesday.

“This is more proof both that the GOP is the big tent party of, by, and for Americans and that we are the law and order party,” Hudson County GOP Chair Jose Arango said in a statement.
“The Democrats are just out of touch – we welcome any and all former, or soon-to-be former, Democrats who are concerned with law and order, rising crime, the cost of living, discrimination, and more.”
His remarks aren’t shocking, given that he already informally welcomed Schillari to the party via a Facebook post, as did 9th District GOP congressional candidate Rosie Pino, on Wednesday, shortly after Schillari switched parties, both as HCV first reported.
Joseph Branco, the Hudson County campaign coordinator for Jack Ciattarelli for governor and a Vice Chair of the Hudson County GOP, echoed a similar sentiment.
“This is indicative of shift in Hudson, this starts with Sheriff Schillari but will continue even past the gubernatorial election when we elect Jack as governor,” he began.
“Hudson is going to see historic numbers in the November election for Jack Ciattarelli and commonsense quality of life focused Republican candidates.”
Hudson County GOP Vice Chairman for Communications Joshua Sotomayor Einstein also said that Schillari’s move is indicative of the Democratic party losing steam.
“Chairman Arango and my fellow Vice Chair Branco are spot on, the switch Sheriff Schillari made is proof that the Democrats are a shrinking party that the public knows is in the pocket of extremists, the GOP on the other hand is here for all New Jerseyans who want commonsense, lower taxes, lower crime, and an end to the toxic extremist far left rhetoric.”

It is Jose Arrango who is out of touch. Does “law and order” only apply to Democrats? How far will you go, Jose, to give aid, support, and comfort to a President that has taken ‘the art of the lie’ to the lowest depths of pure evil? He won in 2016; LOST in 2020, but put our NATION in a Constitutional Crisis because he COULD NOT ACCEPT, and still does not accept his defeat. His tariff policy has no rhyme or rhythm and will lead to more crime as good folks loose jobs because of higher prices due to trade wars that HE HAS STARTED. Discrimination?!! As a Cuban American where is YOUR shame in not pushing back against Trump’s closing the gate and sending back Cubans LEGALLY HERE to face more freedoms taken away from them when they are forcibly returned to Authoritarian Cuba?
