The Hoboken Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a man who tried to lure two 13-year-old girls into his van on Monday evening, officials said. Hoboken police

At 8:27 p.m. on Monday, Hoboken police received a call of a man attempting to lure juveniles into his van around 6:10 p.m., authorities said.

Officers said the parents of two 13-year-old girls who were walking to the soccer field at 1600 Park Ave., when a van stopped in traffic, rolled down the window and asked the two girls to come closer to the vehicle, police said.

The four-door vehicle, which was tan or beige and possibly an Acura, was seen seen traveling over the Willow Avenue Bridge into Weehawken after encountering the two girls near the intersection of 16th Street and Willow Ave, officials said.

The driver is said to be a Hispanic male, with a tan complexion, in his late 30’s or early 40’s, with short brown hair and prescription sunglasses. He was also wearing a red and green plaid shirt at the time, authorities said.
