Hispanic State Parade President Mayra Dominguez says that YouTuber Leroy Truth “hijacked” Sunday’s event to harass state Senator (D-33)/Union City Mayor Brian Stack, to which the former expectedly disagrees.

“The organization Surviving For Justice exploited our goodwill and shamelessly used our community as political pawns through brazen manipulation. Their lies and false information turned a celebration of pride into a platform for propaganda. This not only disrespected the spirit of the event but also betrayed our trust in welcoming organizations to join us each year,” Dominguez said in a statement.

” … We will take every necessary measure to prevent any further exploitation of our community and safeguard the integrity of this event. This celebration was hijacked to air a vicious character assassination video against Senator and Union City Mayor Brian Stack, while also cruelly mocking his partner, fellow Latina Mercedes Joaquin, in a blatant and reprehensible violation of her privacy.”

Dominguez did not go into further detail about what was so offensive about the video in question, nor was any footage available online as of Tuesday evening.

She also apologized for the incident, thanking Stack, as well as Guttenberg Mayor Wayne Zitt, North Bergen Mayor Nick Sacco, Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner, and West New York Mayor Albio Sires for allowing the event to be a success in North Hudson for 49 years.

Surviving For Justice is an offshoot of Leroy Truth Investigations that was formed early this summer, Truth, whose real name is Leonard Filipowski, told HCV.

“We signed up under the moniker Surviving for Justice and the payment went directly through me, through one of my checking accounts,” he began.

“The focus was mostly on Surviving for Justice, but I also promoted Leroy Truth Investigations a bit when we marched through Union City, but I followed all the proper protocols and procedures and I did nothing to defame or embarrass anyone affiliated with the parade.”

He also stated that video displayed on a truck he rented did not have audio, nor did the text say anything disparaging anyone affiliated with the parade.

Filipowski has made it his mission to investigate Stack and his administration in Union City, which has led to traveling some rocky roads along the way, filing a false arrest lawsuit lawsuit in July and a judge ruling the following month that’s he’s not entitled to legal fees.

Stack has contended that Filipowski is the product of political adversaries such as Sacco and/or Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop wanting to take cheap shots at him, but nonetheless all three have denied this assertion to date.

  1. Of course not. Why would anyone, specially this media, not address that?
Now, on to the other obvious issue. How there this person state Leroy politicize the event. There a bunch of politicians standing front and center.
