HCDO Vice Chair Marielka Diaz to spearhead local effort to elect Harris and Walz

Hudson County Democratic Organization Vice Chair Marielka Diaz, also the West New York commissioner of public affairs, will spearhead to local effort to elect Vice President Kamala Harris president and Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) vice president.

HCDO Chair Craig Guy, also the county executive, made the decision to appoint Diaz as the chair of Hudson for Harris.

“Marielka is a strong, experienced advocate for Democratic values. I’m delighted she has agreed to serve as our Hudson Chair for Harris-Walz as we gear up for volunteer efforts after the convention,” Guy said in a statement.

“It’s an honor to receive the support of Chairman Guy and Mayor Sires. As a proud immigrant, Dominicana, and resident of West New York, I am excited to contribute to electing our first female president,” Diaz added.

  1. This is all ceremonial -Harris and Walz will carry NJ without any help from the HudCo Machine. The Party should spend its money in other places, whether Wisconsin to help carry the state, or Newark to help clean up the streets.
