The fire, located at 7117 River Road, began around 9 a.m. North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue tweeted that residents of the nearby Galaxy Towers in Guttenberg are urged to keep their windows closed as the blaze is extinguished.

The Bayonne, Kearny and Hoboken Fire Departments, as well as the Jersey City Hazmat units, have all responded to the scene – where it is not believed that any hazardous materials have gone up in flames.

As of 11:50 a.m., first responders, also including the North Bergen Police Department, are still at the North Bergen MUA as firefighters begin to gain control of the situation.
