On Sunday at approximately 2:25 a.m., near the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Orient Avenue, Jersey City police officers observed a victim with a gunshot wound to his toe, Wallace-Scalcione said in an email.

Officers were advised that a private vehicle was used to drive three other victims to the Jersey City Medical Center.

They were all declared to be in stable condition, two of whom were released from the hospital shortly thereafter. The investigation is ongoing, she added.

The Jersey City Housing Services building, located at 3 Jackson Square, is just steps away from where the incident occurred.

The $120 million building that acts as a hub for the police and fire departments, as well as 911 communications – located at 2 Jackson Square – had it’s ribbon cutting in April and is right next to the $20 million City Hall Annex at 1 Jackson Square.
