“Ravi Bhalla and Katie Brennan bring the track record, leadership skills, and dedication to be true champions of the climate in Trenton,” Climate Cabinet Action Senior Political Director Jared DeLoof said in a statement.
“As mayor, Ravi has made Hoboken, one of our nation’s leading cities on the climate, establishing a Department of Climate Action and Innovation, expanding EV charging infrastructure and constructing state-of-the-art climate resiliency parks. As the founding Executive Director of the New York Office of Resilient Homes and Communities, Katie Brennan oversaw effective statewide climate adaptation and resilience initiatives.”
Climate Cabinet Action is a national organization working to build sustained power for tackling climate change, which is why DeLoof said he thought Brennan and Bhalla are the right choice in this six-person race.
“With President Trump working to reverse climate progress at the national level, it is more important than ever to have climate leaders like Ravi and Katie working to make sure states and local governments pick up the slack.”
The field also includes Jennie Pu and Crystal Fonseca, who are backed by the Hudson County Democratic Organization (HCDO), as well as Assemblywoman Jessica Ramirez and Jersey City Ward D Councilman Yousef Saleh – both on Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop’s gubernatorial slate.
“From my work as mayor, I know firsthand that effective state and local action can accelerate our transition to non-carbon producing clean energy. In the Assembly, I will work overtime to make New Jersey a model for the nation,” noted Bhalla.
“In the Assembly, I will employ my experience and expertise in climate resilience to fight for effective adaptation tools and initiatives for Jersey City, Hoboken and impacted coastal communities throughout New Jersey,” added Brennan.
New Jersey’s Democratic primary elections are on June 10th.

Who’s going to tell Ravi and Katie the bad news?
Antarctic ice has made a surprising rebound in mass, scientists say.
Government paid scientists have no idea. 🤣

Truth is Former Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer put in place everything that Mayor Bhalla is now trying to take credit.
