The special meeting of the city council will be held at City Hall, 630 Avenue C, on February 7th at 6 p.m. No other business will be considered at the public session.

“The City of Bayonne is seeking funding through the State of NJ Jake’s Law Program for improvements at North Street Mini Park located at 123 North Street, Bayonne, NJ 07002 and at the intersection of North Street and North Lane,” the public notice says, indicating that the plan is to turn it into a “completely inclusive playground.”

As for 16th Street Park, located at 375-409 Avenue A and named after Mayor G. Thomas DiDomenico, the city is seeking to make improvements via New Jersey Green Acres funding.

“The City of Bayonne proposes to renovate the following facilities at Mayor G. Thomas DiDomenico Park: expansion of the boardwalk, two street end access ramps, Spartina/beach grass plantings, fishing pier, supplemental shoreline stabilization, boat ramp reconstruction, and a waterfront walkway,” reads the public notice.

Additionally, written comments on the proposed applications, as well as requests for a hard copy of the application packages, may be directed to City Planner Suzanne Mack at smack@baynj.com.
