Bayonne OEM: 370 active COVID-19 cases, 16 fatalities, 50 recovered

In Bayonne, there are 370 active COVID-19 cases, three new fatalities, brining their total up to 16, and 50 patients fully recovered, according to the city’s office of emergency management.

“Three Bayonne residents, all men, ages 53, 63, and 78, have all passed away from coronavirus-related illness. These deaths bring our total to 16 pandemic-related fatalities in Bayonne. Mayor Davis extends his condolences, on behalf of all of Bayonne, to the families of these gentlemen,” Bayonne OEM said in a statement.

They also indicated that the total number of coronavirus cases are at 370, while 50 patients have completely recovered, with eight percent of patients being treated at the Bayonne Medical Center.

OEM also reminded residents that the Bayonne Medical Center drive-through testing center at the Don Ahern Veterans Memorial Stadium will expand to the community at large next week, but will still be by appointment only.

The New Jersey Department of Health revealed today that there are 6,411 COVID-19 cases in Hudson County, along with 163 deaths – both the third most in the state by county.
