Yesterday morning, shortly after 3:35 a.m., the North Bergen Police Department responded
to 910 Tonnelle Ave. on reports of a single vehicle collision, Suarez began in a statement.

Upon arrival, responding officers found two injured individuals and a single vehicle that had collided with a utility pole at that location.

During the preliminary investigation by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation
Unit and the NBPD, it was discovered that a 1999 Nissan Maxima struck a parked 2012 Honda Civic while traveling north on Tonnelle Avenue before finally striking the utility pole.

The investigation also revealed that there was one male passenger in the Nissan. The 31-year-old man from Johnstown, Pennsylvania sustained serious bodily injuries after he was ejected from the vehicle upon collision.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Maxima, Nathaniel Dickerson, 31, of Paterson, also sustained injuries in the crash.

The two men were transported by Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center where they are currently being treated for non-life- threatening injuries.

Our friends at HudPost obtained a short cell phone video of the incident, which is embedded above.

The collision is being actively investigated by the Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the North Bergen Police Department. No arrests have been made at this time.
