The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating a home invasion and sexual assault that occurred last night, Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

Shortly before 7 p.m., the Jersey City PD was notified of a home invasion at a private residence on McAdoo Avenue, Suarez said in a statement.
Responding officers located a female victim who reported an unknown male entered her residence through a window before physically and sexually assaulting her.
The female victim is being treated at a local hospital for multiple injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time. This matter is actively being investigated by the HCPO SVU and the Jersey City PD.
