A Jersey City man, 63, was arrested in Colombia on Sunday for sexually assaulting a local girl, 7, last month, authorities said Wednesday afternoon.

On Sunday, November 7th Colombian law enforcement, in conjunction with the United States Marshals Service Colombia Foreign Field Office and the United States Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force (Hudson County team) brought Abel Ore-Guzman, 63, into custody.
He was transported to the United States, arrested, and taken into custody at Newark International Airport on Tuesday, November 9th at approximately 3:45 p.m.
Ore-Guzman has been charged with sexual assault by contact, endangering the welfare of a child, and attempting to lure or entice a child.
The alleged assaults occurred in late October while the defendant was renting a room in the victim’s family’s home in Jersey City.
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez credited the HCPO Special Victims, the Jersey City Police Department, Colombian law enforcement, and the United States Marshals Service with the investigation and arrest.
