Prosecutor: 41-year-old Jersey City man charged with sexually assaulting child from Fairview

A 41-year-old Jersey City man has been charged with sexually assaulting a child from Fairview on at least two occasions, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced.

Alejandro Morales Alonzo, 41, of Jersey City, has been charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, one count of second-degree sexual assault by contact, and one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

On Wednesday, November 3rd, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was contacted by the Fairview Police Department regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child.

An investigation by the BCPO and the Fairview Police Department revealed that Morales Alonzo sexually assaulted the child, who was younger than 13 years old, on at least two occasions in Fairview.

The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Fairview Police Department under the direction of Chief Marty Kahn.
